I love period murder mysteries. Especially like the Victorian era when you were so limited in technology and having to deal with social etiquette. It’s the Winter of 1904. Daniel O’Halleran is young and always thinking regarding the case he stumbled upon when he finds the murdered body of Clyde Dunmore. Dunmore is said to have courted several young women but also been known as someone that wasn’t ready to settle down. Daniel is set to try and find out what lead to this and each step takes him further and further into the mystery. A lot of detail and research went into making this book so I appreciate the author’s attention to detail.
This was Book 3 of A South Shore Mystery series, but this was the first book I read by this author so I didn’t feel so lost. All 3 are available on Kindle Unlimited so, if you’re looking for a cozy murder mystery set in the past, check this one out.
