A Catalog of Burnt Objects

What an amazingly emotional book full of family ups and down, friendships being tested and the devastating loss of an entire town. When I signed up for this review, I had no idea it was inspired by the tragic loss of Paradise, CA. The elements were so close and I remember seeing that on the news. It was one of the worst events at the time and reading that the author had come from there and wrote this book to bring awareness to towns in similar regional locations. Shana really captured the raw emotions and panic, confusion and fear everyone had trying to escape. It is a lovely tribute to the people and town of Paradise. Everyone should give this book a chance because it’s so well written. Even if such tragedies never happened in this world, you would feel it in this book.

Thanks to Colored Pages Book Tours, Penguin Teen and Shana Youngdahl for this advanced copy.
