This one hit me so unexpected. I was confused in why there was only one narrator after listening to Jennifer’s previous book. @carlyrobinsnarrator did an incredible job! I was like 😯 then 😧 then 🫢 then 🤯 If I could bring the days when Tumblr reactions by gif into this description, I would! The handling on the subject of being trans, I felt, was really good when Adam explains himself to Ivy. I’m not going to say more because I’ll spoil things but the trope list should give you an idea what’s happened. I felt mad at Ivy for how she kept feeling. It was with reason, but that was a long time to hold a grudge and fight the connection you shared with someone at the same time. If you’ve already read the book, you should listen to it. This was my first time with this book and it’s the first ever review where I’m using emojis to describe the faces I made when I was at work listening 😂
