This was such an enjoyable book. I’m not really a reality tv watcher unless it’s really good. But throw in some suspicious “accidents” and a murder into the mix and you got yourself a great book. Not to mention sparks flying between two former school rivals, Alice and Daniel. The chemistry is great since this ends up being a reunion for them. There was one part that felt blatantly obvious to me and a few characters I wanted to throttle so badly. If a book can’t make me feel those kind of things, it’s not a book for me. This one surely was! Also, as a Chinese American, I appreciate the representation and the mention of Haw Flakes! No trip to an Asian supermarket was complete without grabbing those things when I was a kid. Great use of these little nuggets throughout the book to make Alice and Daniel more relatable (love me some Korean food too!). Really hope Kara and Jennifer write another book because I will be there for it!

Thanks to Colored Pages Book Tour, Quirk Books, Jennifer Young, and Kara Loo for the gifted d book!

Alice Chen’s Reality Check is available in paperback, ebook and audio book!
