I knew I needed this book. You’re gonna need to read Smoke and Scar because this book picks up right at the end of book 1 in the series and things just amp up from there. Elyria is coming more into her abilities while Cedric’s character develops and grows more into a person that is realizing there’s more than what he’s been taught. Just like book 1, there’s an amazing cast of characters that make the story so dynamic. And the quality of the world building did not lose anything from Smoke and Scar. Am I mad at the ending? Yes! Do I need book 3? Yes!! Counting the days!
