Jen’s Book Nook

Well, we made it into a new year and… If you’ve paid attention to the news, it might not look so great. But here at this one tiny corner on the whole of the Internet, I’m going to try more things besides my book reviews.

Yes, I 100% plan to do more of my TBR so you can expect those mixed in with advanced reader reviews. I’m also going to try to do more show reviews and maybe some game reviews? Currently, I’m playing Destiny Rising, Raid (with very little understanding of WTF I’m doing only bc they have Enzo as a playable character) and Spirit Crossing, which is in open alpha testing. But I have loads of other games on Steam and Switch and mobile (tho attention span is terrible or any of them). So we’ll see.

What am I looking for in doing this? Absolutely nothing other than it’s something to write about. And it would be something that I like. But then you may ask, “Well, Jen, haven’t you ever DNF a book?” I have. A fair few last year, actually. I chose not to write about them because I didn’t want to spend the energy on it. Not everything will be for everyone so why yuck someone else’s yum? Plus, that energy can be spent on things I like and I am a person with limited energy.

So, let’s see how this will go. I still plan to try and post more gardening stuff as we get into the seed starting season. And possibly more cooking posts (who doesn’t love food?). Not really recipes I’ve made but sharing recipes I’ve found that worked well for me and have adapted as needed due to lack of something.
