As a Chinese American, I always look forward to this annual tradition where family gather and bring in a new year, a new beginning. Yes, there’s New Years Eve, but Chinese New Year ties us to who we are as a culture, as a people. Even if it’s simple (because I’m a millennial and gatherings are tiring), it still brings us together.
