📚Goldenborn

When a young girl stumbles upon a world full of ancient gods and modern magic, Akoma must make a choice between saving her father and everything she believes in.

I’m very honored to read this book that’s based on Ghanaian mythology. As a child of Chinese immigrants, seeing all the stories based on Chinese and other East Asian mythology is wonderful. But, there’s still so much representation still out there that needs their place among our shelves. I think this was a wonderful mix of mythology with science fiction (story having taken place in the future) and urban fantasy. I truly enjoyed the thrill and mystery while having a slow burn romance take place within these pages.

Thank you to Colored Pages Book Tours, I Read YA and  Ama Ofosua Lieb for the #gifted copy.
